This New Year is bringing lots of new and exciting things for the Road Riders for Jesus and for Chapter 16, including our newest member Jeff. On January 28, 2012 we had our first meeting of this year at our new location, Tony’s Donuts. It’s a nice family owned donut shop in Hazelwood that serves hot breakfast and lunch sandwiches along with great drinks. To top it off they play Joy FM the local Christian Radio Station.
At this meeting we discussed numerous things, but a big thing was Mission and vision of Chapter 16. Our mission is to be a motorcycle ministry serving the North St. Louis County Area. We will use our Motorcycles as Tools to serve, minister, and evangelize to the communities north of Page Ave and west of Goodfellow Blvd with the Missouri River being the northern and western Boundaries. We do this by sponsoring fun rides, participating in events at Local Bike Shops, and Supporting Local Charities, etc. We talked about upcoming plans for this year and how we look forward to getting out in March and promoting RRJ 16. This year has many events to look forward to attending like our 3rd Annual Spring Picnic at Babler State Park. This year has many other fun rides planned to places like Mexico, Vienna, Louisiana all while never leaving the Missouri boarders.
To close us out we talked about an upcoming Jericho Ride. This helped Segway us into our devotion that was on God giving us this city much like God gave Jericho over to Joshua. We pray that this year God will take over our hearts, homes, churches, towns, cities, states, nations, and the world. And at the seventh time, when the priests had blown the trumpets, Joshua said to the people, “Shout, for the LORD has given you the city. Joshua 6:16
